Hi! The behavior is wrong for sure. Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Then install 2024.1.1 update.

If the crash still persists, please send me an email johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the crash better and explore possible solutions.

Many thanks!

I was tasked to re-engineer an old machine. The first round of drawing parts was only a rough estimate. Our machine shop was able to fully disassemble the components, which allowed me to get fine details to make prints for the machine shop to make. Anyways, I'm working on this arm, that has a v-cup bearing in it. I used many imported parts from McMaster, like we all do.

I started creating an new assembly for the upper arm, by arranging the windows left and right, then did the usual drag/drop from the old assembly into the new. This new assembly was a brand new fresh start, no metadata written yet.

4 parts into dragging and dropping, Crash.

Ugh... ok open it up start again. Be sure to save a lot.

Added 3 more parts, Crash.

Frustrated, I went for a walk for lunch.

Came back, ok start over.

5 parts into it, same thing Crash again.

After 3 consecutive crashes, I was determined to record this and post it for ya'll to see.

Anyone else have this issue?
