Can i create a custom table to insert into drawings

I would like to create a custom table to insert into drawings or to have on my drawing template that doesn't disappear when the referenced model (for the model properties) is no longer there.

basically i want the table to pull in part number, material, and member description. it would be nice if it would stay on the template and i would just delete it as neccessary but i'm not opposed to inserting a predefined table. I would like to avoid reformating the table every time i pull it in though.

Does it it need to be a BOM ...type?

Why not make a sketch symbol table ...format it how you want and have it populate it how you want ... and it would be there from the start, or it could be added.

You could do it via Ilogic too ..

I thought about user symbol, but i will need to add materials and new derivative part numbers as our designs grow, and i don't want to draw a new symbol every time

is there some sort of configuration table?

You could make a new Part list ...and just make it an option for which one you want to use ...
