topic Inventor 2016 Adaptivity Issue in Inventor Forum

Although I already have a workaround for this problem, I was trying to determine the root cause.

I have this assembly that I was projecting some mounting holes (12 of them) from my parts in a single sketch. Everything worked fine. A day later I discovered I missed two of them so I went back in and edited my sketch. When I go to project these two holes, no adaptivity is created and the project geometry is automatically assigned the "ground" constraint". If I project something else, same results. However if I exit the sketch and create a brand new sketch I can project and create the adaptivty of all 14 mounting holes.

Just in case someone ask, this is an assembly I can not share (even screen shots)..

Anybody seen this before?

Using Inventor 2016 RTM Update 2.
