Last year it was possible. We need support about it.

HI!

I have the same warning: mark not available for multisolids. Using Inventor 24.

As an workaround:

You could create the part as one solid, create the marks, and then split it into solids (multisolid).

I have the same in 2023 and 2024 - so the limitation has been there since Mark first became a feature.

It would be a great improvement to support multibodies.

It's Inventor 2026 and problem still remains...

There is just absolutely no plausible reason why it could be desired to prevent usage on multibody parts.

This is should be absolutely easy to fix, dear Inventor Dev Team, so please just do _/\_

Workarounds (still quite limiting)

1. Use "Mark" when only one Volume Body exists

before another volume body is created (Split, Feature as "New VB")
use "Combine" to turn everything into a single VB

2. Use "Emboss" instead

3. Use "Create Components" to turn an Multibody Part into an Assembly consisting of actual Single Body Parts (each one derived from a volume body). Inside these you can use the "mark"-feature.
