Hello fellow engineers,

I recently got a request from higher up asking if i could animate a specific situation using inventor studio.

But after a few questions here on the forums it became clear that even though it is quite a simple task, it is not really possible within the rules of inventor studio.

But i am only one of two engineers whitin the whole company and only we have 3D-CAD knowledge, but they still would like those animations, so i got the request to figure out if there was any good animating software for kind of mounting/ placing various steel profiles and wires.

But what a better place to get such awnsers then to ask my fellow engineers from around the world?

So my question to you all is, does anyone know a good animating software where you can kind of step in if you are familiar with inventor and inventor studio?

I know the basics of inventor studio and wonder if there is an animating software wich is kind of similar but with just a few more degrees of freedom.

I hope someone can help me out.

Good day to you all!

-NM

HI!

Depends on the animation you like to do... why you're saying inventor studio cant do it?

Anyway, if you have PDM Collection, take a look on 3D Studio MAX

Hi,

Thanks for the reply!

To anwser your question, you could look on my profile for an in depth explanation, but in short, i have to animate a wire snapping in two, bouncing up for a bit and then falling down smoothly. but with how Inventor Studios is set up you cant really animate a wire flying up and falling down (kind of with a bend) complete smoothly.

(plus no-one every really replied further so i guess none knew a way to do it)

Thanks again!
