STEP to iam file

Good day everyone

I got a STP file from a client and when I open it into inventor it saved the all its parts and sub assemblies under one file. No instead of having one iam file to work from I have copy the whole folder with all its parts an assemblies for another person to use. Is there a way to create only one iam file from all these parts? I attached a screenshot. The assembly with the name 'Main Assm' is the one I have to work from each time

What???!!!

The assembly file only has the info how the parts connect with each other (between other matters), so you must have always the assembly file.... and the part files.

If you want to place all in the unique file to send to someone... zip it, or convert to stp file.
