Inventor 2014 - How to refresh after free move?

The Inventor doc says "The part remains in the moved location but snaps back to its constrained or joined position when you apply a new relationship or update or refresh the assembly."

How do you "refresh the assembly"?

The situation is, I've move some parts, decided not to add a constraint, I'd like the parts to snap back but I'm not seeing a refresh command. Googling and searching this forum didn't help.

I don't want to close/open the assembly - surely there's a simple solution?

Most likely the item in question still has some constraints applied to it, that's bringing it back to it's starting position. It might also be an Adaptive part as well. I think that the "Move" function was added back in 2014 (in the constraints box), if you select it and move the part, you will see small "bands" from the part to other parts, that show related Constraints.

You would also be able to see Constraints on the part in the Browser Window.

Sorry, but I think you missed my point.

I have moved the parts (yes, rubber bands) now I want the parts to "SNAP" back to their home positions.

A close/open of the assembly snaps them back, or adding a constraint snaps them back. But the doc says you can snap them back by "refreshing the assembly".

How to "refresh the assembly" is the question I need answered.

I do appreciate your help.

The "Rebuild All, will refresh the IAM, the little yellow arrow icon on the very top of the menu bar.

They will only snap back if you've applied a constraint. The Free Move command temporarily overrides constraints. The constraints Will re-assert themselves on refresh.

Does that make sense?

It's located at Manage tab | Update panel | Rebuild All.

No need to use Rebuild All-- just use the Update button on the Quick Access Toolbar (or on the Manage > Update tab): . It lights up as soon as you Free Move or Free Rotate something.
