Selecting a sketch loop

Is there a way to quickly select a sketch loop?

I would like to select a loop and use the offest command, but currently am selecting each entity one-by-one. I have tried the "Close Loop" command, but was not able to figure it out. I have tried a selection window (using both thedragging right, and dragging left methods), but this also selects the projected geometry. (and the offset command doesn't work with everything selected, which makes sense)

post your ipt file..

More than likely your sketch is underconstrained and isn't a closed loop (as you seem to indicate)...

Offset in a sketch WILL automatically select closed loops

Hi ToddPigg,

After you click the Offset button, right click and make sure the Loop Select option is selected. If that doesn't do it, then you might post an example file for others to have a look at.

Hi!

The issue is, you dont have a continuous loop to select to create the offset...

Do this:

First use the "project cut edges to bring all the loop.

Then, make offset with the "loop select "on".

Did you try this?

- Start the offset command

- Right Click

- Check select loop

- select the loop

will only work if the loop is closed

Sketch is not under-constrained. I was looking for the "select loop" command as more than a few people pointed out.
