Multiple Inventor versions on same workstation

Hi,

I recently installed the Product Design Suite 2016, including Inventor which I most use.

Due to suppliers or clients using the previous Inventor 2015, I like to open certain files in 2015 version, and others in 2016.

I installed the Product Design Suite 2015 too from Autodesk.account, but lauching Inventor 2015 from its icon starts automatically the newer Inventor 2016.

I've been told and read that some users run alternatively the latest and older versions of Inventor on the same workstation.

How can this be achieved, practically?

I run 2015 and 2016 on my home machine...

I have one years software icons on one monitor ...and the other on my 2nd monitor. If you don't have dual monitors, put them on opposite sides. I also RMB/run as Admin start the software each time, so I know what one I'm doing.

Right click on desktop icon and select the Properties - what does it show?

I run 2014, 15 and 16 - but you cannot have two different releases running at the same time. You can have multiple instances of a particular release running at the same time.
