Inventor wont import DXFs

I've tried various different methods but I can't import any DXF's or DWG's in to inventor?

Is there anything else I could try. I've tried the import option and also the ACAD icon.

Hi Steven,

It should just work. What version of Inventor are you using? Is it Inventor Pro or Inventor ReadOnly? Does it happen to any DXF file or some DXF files? Please share an example here. I would like to try it on my machine.

Its inventor professional 2025, this is an example of a DXF I have tried but its all DXF's unfortunately.

Hello @steven_king, is it the same problem as this?

A few weeks ago I also had problems with importing dxf and dwg files, it didn't show the preview so I couldn't select layers etc..
For me this solution worked, but the location of the file was different on my pc. On my pc I entered the following in the command prompt: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\dwgviewrAcctrl.dll"
