Different Bend type of Lines format for Flat Pattern in Inventor Drawing

Hi,

I need to show different type of lines for different directions of bends in flat pattern drawing.

Is it possible? We are switching from Solidworks and with it it was possible to do that and also our workshop prefers that way to bend parts.

Go to Flat Pattern Settings and associate the bending lines to what you need them to be in there.

I can not find that menù showed in your screen.

Is that for exportation in dxf? Is that valid also for Invetont drawing (.dwg )

Hi! The options are available when you right-click on the Flat Pattern -> Save Copy As -> DXF/DWG. What you are looking for should be in the drawing styles (open a drawing -> Manage -> Styles Editor -> Layers). However, the settings apply to the entire sheet metal part, not a particular feature.

Hi Luca,

For the different type of Bending lines in the drawing - the Style editor got to be used. In there you can create a new layer, name it the way you want it and set the line's property accordingly. After that you will be able to change the Bend line property to the appropriate(different) layer. Currently both Up and Down Bend lines are residing on the same layer.
There is a way to automate it, I suppose. I just don't need to show Flat Patterns in the drawings. Since I am two hands up against it. I do need the finishing part, as it is shown in the drawing - not a Flat Pattern of it. Flat Pattern itself I send to the manufacturer as a separate DXF file. Which he uploads to his machine.

I believe it is done in Style Editor.
