Simplify - Finding full lists.

Hi all,

First, I would start by saying that I am a beginner at using Inventor and Vault. Though i have a very solid background using some other software like Revit, this is my introduction to using Inventor at my new position.

my question might be very simple, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere else.

When I work with models and assemblies, I choose Design here:

this allows me to gain access to the models in Vault directly, which makes importing them into assemblies much easier.

when I do that, the simplify option seems very small and restricted:

on the other hand, when i choose Default, I would face some restrictions in importing things from Vault, but the simplify list comes as full, which is what I want.

is there anything to be done in order to get around this? or am I doing something totally wrong?

You're probably just missing the templates box. What happens when you pick a template? You may have those stored in Vault by your company, in which case I would recommend to download them to your local disk (Get) before you pick.

Hi! You need to have Standard templates. Otherwise, these workflows will not work. Go to Tools -> App Options -> File -> Configure Default Templates.
