Nope.. "camera" state is saved as part of a view rep and I've never seen a setting to disable that..

Hi!

YES!!

In the same place you find "auto save camera", you find "LOCK".

Just LOCK the view representation with the camera view you want. Save the file and the camera remains the same angle, despite the way you get out of the view.

Tip: if you wat to change camera view from a locked rep. view, you have to unlock first, change camera, save, and lock again.

If "locking " the view meets your needs then sure..

I assumed that locking the view would cause others problems.. But if your view reps are set and you don't need to change them then yes lock will work just fine to stop it from remembering the camera.. Just remember to unlock them if you ever change anything..

In ViewRep1, zoom in to a certain section of the model.

2. Change to ViewRep2, and the view remains wherever it is, in the exact same angle as before.

3. While in this view, be able to zoom in or pan to a different area of the model.

4. Change back to ViewRep1, and have the view be exactly as it was left in step 3.

As it is, the solution you suggested doesn't work that way. I do definitely see the benefit of being able to lock views, but in this particular case I don't want that.

How about this..

Right click on each of your view reps and select "copy to level of detail".. Then you can switch between LODs and camera states aren't remembered with those..

Or do an iassembly and switch between members..
