Trouble with shell feature at desired thickness of .172"

I am trying to use the shell feature on the attached part without success. I have made sure i have reduced knife edges and enlarged the fillets to large enough size to ensure i do not see thinning in the sidewalls while molding. The shell feature worked prior to adding the required 3 degree draft to seperate from tooling. I would appreciate any guidance.

Fillet127 refused shelling.

I suppressed it and placed it again at the browser's end.

Manage>Rebuild All returns early errors.

Sketch1 is not fully defined.

If I add what would appear should be Tangent Constraints - the geometry changes.

Everytime I've had problems with the shell feature its because of fillets..

I've just started adding them after the shell..

Same here.

Interestingly enough, if the original part is converted to a solid neutral format first (*.STP), and then shelled, there’s a warning that some thicknesses would deviate by approx. +/- 0.4 Thou from the desired thickness of 0.172 Inch (which in real life would happen anyway when forming such shape), but it shells OK, if accepted.

It occured to me that maybe you are doing too much work (see attached Inventor file).

You might notice that I tossed your file and started over from scratch.

If this is similar to what you are really after - we can start working towards manufacturable dimensions.

Try opening the file first. Is it the way you want it?

It is advisable to hide the chamfer section first and then use the shell command.
