    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Micheal.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the tip.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have been a lot to learn about the STL files and then later 3d scanned step files.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ok i have not got a&amp;nbsp;positive result from inventor 2017 it can be me but even with light stl files&amp;nbsp;i hade problems try using the fit&amp;nbsp;mesh face&amp;nbsp;but&amp;nbsp;inventor just&amp;nbsp;get slower and slower until it wont work. Have change the cpu to use up to 12 cores.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For now this 3d scan is of my desk i gave up some one else can have&amp;nbsp;headache i work as my own i&amp;nbsp;don't get&amp;nbsp;payed for no result. The goal was to give my customer a part redy for HSM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Working with inventor pro&amp;nbsp;almost every day and i like it a lot otherwise.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Patrik&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>3d scan STL file</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have&amp;nbsp;received high&amp;nbsp;resolution creaform&amp;nbsp;scan in STL files exec of 140,000 and another file of 280,000 kb&amp;nbsp;how would i go about to get it to be a solid part in inventor?&amp;nbsp;mesh&amp;nbsp;enabler seams to struggle inventor just stop working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have also&amp;nbsp;received creaform step files that i can stitch but only get a mesh grid surface no solid.Can not&amp;nbsp;do much with it. is there a way to get a solid of that one?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The scanning firm seams to having problem giving me the right file format and it not&amp;nbsp;helping that this is my first 3d scan to import to Inventor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Would like to have this one like a solid for later use with HSM if posible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas about how to get it to solid? if even posible at all?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have product design suite. &amp;nbsp;Inventor pro&amp;nbsp;2016/2017 and 3ds max but don´t work with 3ds max.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Patrik&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I understand your pain points here. Did you manage to try the one below. You may think of using a trial version of 3Ds Max for this.&lt;/P&gt;
