Inventor 2015 fatal error

Any ideas on what caused this problem.

Inventor crashes with a fatal error just inserting a base view into a drawing. What could be the reason for this?

Just started happening a few days ago.

do you have all of the updates and service patches installed?

Also what error are you seeing and are you filling out the error report?

Welcome to the community...

When you say fatal error, are you getting the Inventor Crash Report Dialog?

If so when it crashes again, select the Report Details button. In the next dialog there will be 3 files listed. Hover over the file called userdmpinfo.xml or something like that. It will tell you the location.. By default its c:\document and settings\users\<user name>\appdata\local\temp. Open the XML file using notepad or xml editor and remove your serial #. Save the file as <something else>.xml and then attach here for review.
