Macro inventor

Hi,

I know it's possible to create scripts with Inventor and I looked up a lot of information, but I can't find a good tutorial on how to make what I want.

I want to make an macro that can be used in the following way:

I want to use 'copy object' to copy surfaces which I can select. Then I want to rename the created surfaceBody and then I want to export all the created surfaceBodies to an obj file.

Is this possible and how is it done?

You may want to re-post your requirements over in the Inventor Customization Forum. I will also tag @Curtis_W since he is a programming wizard. He may have some code already that could help..

Thank you for responding,

I have placed it in the customization forum. Maybe some better explanation of my question. I don't want to just copy the surfaceBody.

Small example: If I create a pipe, then I want to use the feature 'Copy Object' and copy both ends of the pipe excluded the pipe's 'wall'.

Doing that I created a surfaceBody called srf1 as shown in the extension.

Then I want toe export that surfaceBody so not the solidBody.

I'm really losing a lot of time of figuring it out in the macro.
