Inventor 2015 : Title block text with a "/" vertical alignment conundrum

We have a title block, the text aligns correctly as long as there is not a "/" in the text.

The title block sketch is fully constrained.

Inventor 2015, fully up to date.

We need to upgrade to 2016, but for various reasons we are stuck on 2015 for the moment.

See the attached screen capture for an example of how the text alignment swaps around with and without the forward slash.

You said it's full constrained?

Questions, what is the text justification location for that line? It might be at the bottom, middle center and conflicting.. might have to change it.

Not a solution but an option without seeing the title block myself and looking at how it was made.

Hi yosso22,

There is something like "Base Line" justification that might help, I think it's only available for single line text, so you must make the text single line, then the "base line" button is enabled. I'm going from memory (not looking at Inventor at the moment). So it might be called something else.

If that doesn't work, then if you select just the / and make it a smaller text size than the rest of the text, does that pull the justification down?

I did first try to change the font from Simplex_50 to Arial - and corrected the vertical shift problem, keeping the non-baseline justification. Almost seems like a Truetype font issue with Simplex_50 front.

I then switched to baseline justification, which corrected the vertical shift problem using the Simplex_IV50 font.

Wish we could use a font other than Simplex, but we are trying to match the appearance of our AutoCAD drawing, which use Simplex.shx.

Titleblock is fully constrained, and the text was bottom justified.

Seems like the baseline justification corrected the problem.
