Event Driven Dynamic Simulation

Hello,

I am attempting to run a DS of a door lock. I would like to run an event driven DS where the lock starts in the locked position, enters the unlocked position, moves in the translation direction and returns to the locked position again. Im confused as to how the appropriate motion constraints are to be implemented yet alone implementing the correct joints. I have attached all of my files as well as a snapshot of the assembly. Any help would be appreciated.
