topic INVENTOR COMPLEX CHANNEL NORMAL TO SURFACE in Inventor Forum

I am having trouble getting a very specific, maybe not even complex channel. I extruded it just to show what i want to actually cut out later of a pad that goes over (attached picture)

I used a good point to draw on a plane (normal to axis through plane) (the shape to extrude)

I used a surface to project my 3D sketch to the surface it is going over. (to be the path for the shape to extrude)

It seems close but towards the higher elevated part it doesn't stay normal to the surface

i know thicken works but i want something that is a little more clean

There has to be a much more simple solution out there somewhere

@Anonymous

You may want to attach (if you can) what you have so far so we can see your model workflow. If you do post make sure to include what version you're using.
