Thanks for the information. When I had my Ultimaker I used Cura, however with the Dremel's I was told to use Print Studio. I'm still trying to learn how to identify if the print speed is too slow, or when to adjust the "initial layer widths". How does one learn this?

I have a Dremel 3D printer and am using Print Studio to convert the files. I'm really trying to understand 3D printing but I keep having an issue that no one can explain to me. I'm attaching a picture. So when my students create a project, for example the grocery bag holder I attached, the bottom prints out in a strange bird nest like pattern. I added supports and a raft. The top, however, is beautiful. Does anyone know why this keeps happening to the bottom of my projects?

So you have removed the supports/raft in that picture and we are looking at the bottom right?

If so it looks like there is too much spacing between the gridwork of your supports and the hot string is simply "sagging" down into the spaces..

Your print speed being too slow may cause this too as its not able to "stretch" a piece of material across the gaps.. Too hot of temps,etc...

Could also be an incorrect setting for "initial layer widths"..

Doesn't your printer come with its own slicer program to use vs Inventors print studio "stuff"?

Frankly what I see in print studio is a "basic" program lacking any desirable functionality to tweek anything..

I use "Cura" and LOVE it.. I simply export a stl from Inventor and have FULL control over the output.. speeds/widths,etc..

I don't see near the "options" in Print Studio as I have in Cura.. There are many more and the program that comes with your Dremel might be better than print studio..
