Creating Gherkin (Building in London)

Dear All,

I've been working on a building for a project in class and I'm making the gherkin. It's an egg shaped building that I made with many work planes with sketches and lofting them together. I'm trying to create a design on the loft with spiral like structure that wraps around the loft, also noting that it needs to be parametrically constrained. (d0 = 35 mm). I've tried using two coils around but it just will not wrap around the building or carve into the building (which is what I want) is there any way to make that work on Inventor?

How much experience do you have with Inventor?

What version of Inventor are you using?

That's been a task in Inventor Newsgroup World Cup February 2012.

I've been the creator, but I don't find it here on my PC anymore.

Without searching on another machine, I only can supply a solution from Roland Schroeder.

I barely have any experience with inventor.

I'm taking a Project Lead the Way class in high school, and I've asked my teacher multiple times but they do not know how to work with inventor either. Im using the educational kind our school has offered, may be the new one but I'm not sure.

Mine looks like this and I have no way of knowing how to make the coil stick to it.
