Engineering Class help

Hello all! I would greatly appreciate some help creating a sheet metal standard .ipt for my engineering class. The pictures attached are of the clock hands that I need to create. thanks for any help!

Welcome to the community..

Are you working on modeling an alarm clock for your class? This is 3rd posting today about assistance on a alarm clock for class.

What Inventor version are you using?

Have you started anything yet?

If you haven't started anything yet, what are you struggling with to get it started?

Update: Granted this person is asking about another piece of the alarm clock but look at the information @Curtis_W shared.. Especially about the part to keep your sketches simple. Also not sure if you are in the same class as the others but if you are, does each student model only one part of the alarm clock?

yes! we have to reverse engineer a mini alarm clock for our PLTW class. I have already created the glass cover as well as the paper with the numbers stating the time, but I am lost on where to start with the four arms. I have inventor 2016 and have also attached the overall images of the alarm clock.

Hi district13chihuahua,

Here's a quick video to get you started. Note I don't have any dimensions or parts to measure, so I was just making the measurements up. You'll need to input the real dimensions so that your clock assembly comes out right.

But you can follow this video to get the general method and tools used.

I wonder if you'd get bonus points if you wrote an iLogic rule that fetched the current time and displayed it on the clock properly
