How to find unresolved components?

Nice to see, that Inventor knows about that.

But what does it say? Only moving down into each sub-assy helps further.

Right now I think, this needs improvement. But perhaps I simply don't know the trick.

Right click on that "?" and select "resolve"

Hmm. I can't see any resolve option there.

I only can expand sub-assys and parts. But that's a long list. No joy ..

Later: After saving the IAM with issues, I found some more options. Among them "File resolve".Another check now ..

I could find the missing files. But something seems to have changed.

Formerly, Inventor was signalizing unresolved files during initial loading.

Now here, the main assembly is loading without any message about missing files.

I'll have a look at Application options for a different setting.

When you are in the open dialog and you select the assembly you are having problems with select the Options button. Is Skip All Unresolved files checked?

Hi! Another workflow not mentioned in this thread is about the ability to find the components with Unresolved status. Go to Browser and click on the Search button (magnifier) -> click on the button with a question mark. The browser search will list all the unresolved components.

Hi! Yet another way is to use Design Assistant and you will get a tabulated view of the component tree.
