Rename browser nodes not working

After update Inventor 2024.2 to build 272

Could't rename browser nodes by part number in an assembly because of grey apply button.

Found the reason : one part suppressed in a component pattern in a sub-sub-sub assembly.

That isn't just a 2024 issue. That has been around for several years. I have had a personal gripe with this for years. You need to start from the sub-sub -sub assemblies and work your way up. It's even more fun when using model states. You need to have a model state where everything is turned on and unsuppressed so that you can do the rename browser node command.

or open the Iproperties of the part and then go to the Occurrence tab and manually change the name.

I wish Inventor would automatically place the node as the part number and not the filename.

I still don't understand why the part name often doesn't change after
replace component.

I'm dealing with this as well, the "rename browser nodes" command is completely grey'd out in the assembly I need to run it in. Seeing posts from many years ago with similar issues...is this still unresolved?

Still the same. Open the Iproperties and go to Occurrence. Change it there.

It sucks because you can have a suppressed model way down in the sub-assembly levels and it will hold it up.

Or you can highlight the name in the model tree and delete it. It will change the name then.
