What are these? and how do i turn them off?

During work with the model Inventor crashed. Upon opening, all these origin indicators, or whatever they are, are shown all over the model.

I can't find a way to turn them off again.

I have attached af screen dump.

They look like COG glyphs. Does changing the state of the Centre of Gravity toggle in VIEW do anything?

This is a known bug.

I don't know why it still appears with Inventor 2017.

If you already are with Inventor 2016, and have not applied Update 1 for 2016, perhaps you can try that remedy.

If you remember what file crashed your IAM, have a closer look there and try a rebuild all.

Or attach a Zip of your IAM and all IPTs, that it's using.

Ok, thank you for providing this information.

it seems there is no other option than to place all the parts in a new assembly 😞

You can try demoting all contents into a new sub-assy, and writing it out.

Autodesk is currently aware of COG issues appearing again or in Inventor 2017.. This person has the R3.1 version.. What version are you at in 2017?

Running into the same issue. Opened an assembly, and every COG and plane is visible. Cannot turn them off.

You're on build 112, try the latest update, which is build 227:

Thanks for posting back the results, and I'm sorry the update did not fix the issue... I must admit I was merely guessing that it might help, but wasn't sure. johnsonshiue has some inside knowledge, and reports that Autodesk is actively working on a fix for this issue in Inventor 2018.

In the meantime, unfortunately I'm not sure what the workaround is, but I think in the past some people where able to get past this by following these steps:

re-name the top level assembly file (for instance from 123-456.iam to x2123-456.iam)
open the assembly and demote all of the components to a new sub-assembly file called 123-456.iam
Save the file and make sure that new sub-assembly 123-456.iam is saved.
Close all files, and open 123-456.iam
Then delete x2123-456.iam

I hope this helps.
