Simulation Stress analysis question

I can not seem to find where it is. I though it was supposed to be under the environments tab. The add ins manager shows that i have it installed and its load behavior is automatic / loaded, but i cant seem to find it anywhere

Hi! Did you open a part or an assembly? After you open a part or assembly file, go to Environment tab and you should see Stress Analysis. Let me know if it works for you.

I have tried both a part and assembly, neither have stress analysis available.

Can you try right clicking in the blank space on the ribbon? Can you see an option to turn the simulation work space panel on?

no there isnt

i did find this though.

any ideas? I have been using inventor for about 2 weeks now, so still very new to it.

even if i customize the tool bar, i still cant use the functions because they are greyed out. Probably because I'm not starting the tool

Hi! The behavior does not look right and it does not make sense. Could you try using Inventor Reset Utility to see if it helps?

I have tried to use the reset utility with no luck.

I do have a lot of software on my computer, is there any software that could conflict with inventor? I did have to remove a nvidia utility to get inventor to work correctly.

Hi! I am shooting in the dark now. Could you go to %temp% and try deleting all the files there? Then create a folder "Temp" in C: drive.

i downloaded the software again, and installed it and now it works.

Now it says autodesk inventor professional 2018.

Before it said autodesk inventor

Here is where i am confused. I could do assembly work and animations with my previous version, which led me to believe it was the profession software. Are there three different tiers of software? Inventor LT, Inventor, and inventor professional? I was under the impression there were only 2 available for 2018, LT and inventor.
