I was doing the animation as an assembly file (iam), not a presentation file. I was using inventor studio. I saw on the internet how to do an animation like this, and I didn't think of trying to use a presentation file. I will try to do the presentation method. Thank you.

Hello.
I am trying to do something that is simple in concept, but becoming difficult in practice. I want to do 2 rotations with an object. The first one I want the object to revolve around a point and to make a circular path. Then I want to rotate the same object, but I want it to stay in approximately the same spot.
Think of it as a crane moving a piece of material in a circle, and then rotating the material again to orient it properly.
I am having problems because whenever I rotate something, it rotates about the origin. What I need to be able to do it rotate something about a point that isn't the origin. Is this possible?

HI Are you using ipn to create animation?

If yes, you could locate the rotate point by activating the Locate button in the Tweak Component Minitoolbar. see the following image.

The select the component you want to Rotate.

Thanks,
