I usually had to add one by one, all of the CC parts into an assembly, then check in the assembly with children, and finally delete the mock assembly.
Now, you should always change those files in Vault to unreleased/unlocked/Work-In-Progress before checking them out and in, regardless of what permissions/admin access you have. It is a bad practice to check-in new file versions while Vault has those in Released state, because you might miss some visualization generation or the ability to roll-back changes as easily later.

I had to make some changes to a vault controlled content center family template and now I need to refresh the members. I have a mixture of released and unreleased members in vault so I logging into an account that has full admin control to do the refresh. My problem is I have a lot of members to refresh and the only way I see to accomplish this is to pick out each and every one, one at a time, from the insert command.

I tried doing a "get" from vault and place them into an assembly, but when I try to refresh it tells me I have no standard parts in the assembly.

I tried task scheduler, but it does not seem to work for vault controlled content center

Is there any way to insert more than one at a time into an assembly or an entire different workflow which I do not know about to accomplish this task?

Good tip about not using a full admin role.

This family has 2200 members in it, luckily I am just rolling it out so I only have to deal with about 20. If I have to make a change down the road and have to deal with hundreds of members am I really forced to do this on a one by one basis?

Perhaps with iLogic or some VBA plugin, I am not sure, but certainly not out of the box:
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Is-it-possible-to-automatically-update-Content-Center-Files-in-Inventor-when-opening-an-assembly-from-Vault.html

And yes, I've been there before a couple of times... good thing I'm a fast clicker, but I've had to generate a couple of thousand nuts, bolts, and washers, all into a blank assembly then check those all in. One family at a time.

Hi,

There are some rules on the iLogic forum for batch creating family members.

Will this do what you want?

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-programming-ilogic/create-every-possible-instance-of-a-content-center-part/m-p/6731879
