Inventor 2018 SP1 Release Date

Good morning everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew when Service pack 1 for Inventor 2018 was going to be released? My company is investigating the possibility of installing Product Design suite 2018 and we are waiting for the SP1 release before doing so.

Sometime in the next few months.. sooner the better..

Don't think Autodesk will ever publicly state a future date like that..

But good try anyways..

Just like in the movie, "The Money Pit" when asked how long will it take, the answer is always 2 weeks (until the day comes when it is done).

Hi Kevin,

The first update (not SP1 or R1 Update) to Inventor Professional 2018 is undergoing final validation and should be ready soon. There is no longer traditional service pack for 2018 (starting from 2017 release). There are incremental releases called R1, R2, R3, and R4, followed by in-between updates. 2018 R1 is still in development and validation and will be released not long after the first update to 2018. I cannot comment on the specific date.

If you want to preview R1 release, you could sign up Inventor Beta program and you would be able to track the progress and test the R1 release candidate when it is ready.

"Late" July is the current plan.
