Risize datum planes no longer working

Good Moring,

when creating a Datum Plane non of the manual sizing options are working. You can only right-click from the browser bar and select/unselect "Auto-resize" and that's it... Its been like this for the last few updates from 2017 and has not been fixed in 2018.

Hi! The behavior does not sound right to me. When Auto-Resize option is checked, the grip points behave more like rubber band. You can drag it but it will snap back. But, when the option is off, you should be able to drag and resize it manually. I am not able to reproduce the behavior on my machine. Does it happen to all files or a few files?

It happens in all files. We have 10 seat of Autodesk inventor/HSM and all of them are effected. NO "grip points" even show up in the corners...

Hi! Could you try something real quick? Go to Tools -> Application Options -> General -> Annotation Scale -> change it to 5. Now select a workplane. Does the grip point show up?

Unfortunately, no, it just made the direction arrows and such really large.

Hi! The screenshot simply shows that the grip points do not appear on the 4 corners of a workplane. The behavior does not make sense. Could you try using Inventor Reset Tool (Programs -> Autodesk -> Autodesk Inventor Professional 2018) -> Tools -> Inventor Reset Tool) and see if it helps?

Or, could you disable HSM add-in and see if there is a difference.

The Picture was intended to should you the result of your previous instruction. However, yes you can also see that the grip handles are not there.

We reset 2 terminals yesterday and it did not fix the issue only reset all of our settings.

How do I disable the HSM add-in. Thank you for your timely support @johnsonshiue !!

Tools - Add-Ins uncheck loaded/unloaded box.

I was able to disable HSM and restart inventor and it works!! I can resize the datums in inventor. I aslo reloaded HSM and can now resize the datums in Inventor with HSM loaded as well, However still not in an Assy file. I'm not sure if its because the file was created and saved before disabling and re-enabling HSM or not. I will try and create a new assy from scratch and see if its isolated to the assy files now.

Confirmed, I cannot resize or move datums in an assy file. I also unloaded HSM and created an assy file to test that as well and cannot move or resize datums in an assy file with HSM unloaded either...

For resizing in an assembly file. Change your filter type to SELECT FEATURE PRIORITY. Make sure auto resize is UN-checked. This will allow you to drag planes as desired.
