I am trying to set the current dimension style to a custom format. Within the Dialog Box Style and Standard Editor the Standard exists and is Active, Under Dimension are various styles and the custom one I would like to use is listed. The problem I am having is on the Format Panel on the Annotate ribbon the Style pulldown is blank when I click the down arrow. no selections are possible. Help Please.

-Mark

The pull down is empty when there is no dimension in your drawing. As soon as you have a geometry with dimensions, the pull down will work.

Have you selected or are you placing a dimension?

Can you post a screen shot?

To follow up on ShayaGhan's correct response, you must have the dimension (or leader or other command) activated before the styles become visible/available.

Sure you can-- that's exactly what the Object Defaults style is for. Edit your active Object Defaults style and apply your custom dimension style wherever it's appropriate (linear, radius, diameter, ordinate, etc).

Sam B

Inventor Professional 2017.4
Vault Workgroup 2017.0.3
Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, SP1
Inventor Certified Professional
