Inventor 17. Inventor crashing when trying to open drawing

There is a drawing that I cant open because Inventor crashes just before the drawing loads. In the dialog in the lower left corner shows "Loading VBA project" when the crash occurs, after that I get an error message that says Inventor has stopped working and has to close. Other drawings Ive tried open fine as well as the assemblies and parts from the drawing I cant open. A screenshot is attached of whats shown when Inventor stops working.

@Des_Seals As you mentioned, Inventor is trying to load a VBA project with this drawing. Is this some sort of customization? Is it also being loaded when you open the assembly or components? Can you tell us a bit about this VBA project.

Hi! This might be an install issue. Could you try Repair Install? Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> right-click on Autodesk Inventor Professional 2017 -> Uninstall/Change -> Repair Install.

It didnt work. Still crashing the same way.

Hi! If it is specific to a particular drawing, it would be a data specific corruption as opposed to a system failure. I thought it was a general issue applicable to all drawings on your machine. Could you send me the drawing directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com)? I would like to take a look and see if there is a way to recover the file. It is possible there isn't much we can do with such file but I would like to try it.

Try opening the model first then while that is open, open the drawing.

In Tools > Addins try unticking 'Loaded' and 'Load Automatically' on the iLogic addin, and maybe some others. Restart Inventor then try opening the drawing again.
