Inventor 2018 crashes constantly after service update

I installed the Inventor 2018 (INV22010) hotfix yesterday, and since that happened, the program seems to crash at random several minutes after opening. I don't even have to be doing anything to get it to crash. It will even occur when my system is sitting idle. Windows reports that Inventor has stopped working and force-closes what I was working on. I'm still able to open the project I was working on, but anything that happened between my last save and the crash was lost.

I would uninstall the update, restart the computer and try installing again.
Installed here and is running fine.
If that fails you will need to post your system specs and such to aid in troubleshooting.

I have the same issue with the first release of 2018. This didn't happen last week or in the last month of two since downloading 2018, it has just happened today. I'm guessing this has something to do with the issues on this forum and the autodesk account online. Mine is crashing without even using it, it's open with a single part open and just crashes while I search for a component on the Mcmaster site in a Chrome window.

That's pretty much what's happening here. I opened 2018 and left it sitting on the "welcome" page. No parts open. And it crashed while I stepped away from my desk.

Couple of things we're suggesting:

Verify your Video Card driver .....

and try the Reset Utility. I've had some luck with that.

(I've seen this twice today, 1 had the update, 1 didn't)

Already uninstalled the Inventor 2018 update. No apparent crashes since, but hasn't been very long.

"update driver" from within Computer Management appears to be updating.

Autodesk "Diagnostic" button under Applications Options/Hardware produces these results.

Updated video driver and rebooted. After a handful of minutes, Inventor crashed again (with the Inventor 2018 update removed, even..)

Same here, started this morning. We have 4 users, all of us can't do anything meaningful before it crashes. It is pretty much unworkable. Could be a due to a Windows update too, I know that this happened in the past. Due to current virus outbreak worldwide, do not even suggest to remove Windows updates, admin won't let it happen. A quick fix from Autodesk would be awesome...

Without doing anything. Only have Inventor Professional 2018 open and writing emails it crashes.

Within 2 hours now 4 times.

For everyone here reporting the crash while Inventor sits idle, we would be interested to know if the problem continues following a system reboot. Based on the CER data this problem is being hit equally between Inventor 2018 users who have installed the new Update 1 and those who have not applied Update 1 which implies that the issue lies elsewhere.

I switched back to using inventor 2017, and that appears unaffected. Fortunately, I wasn't so deep in a project that it hurt me any.

It continues here on 6 installs that have updated to 2018.0.1 but not on the install that remains on 2018.0.0.

Reboot does not work

Autodesk reset does not work

Reinstall of 2018 does not work

I have rebooted and I am still having the problem.

"Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFF0FEDEA1E (ucrtbase.dll) in Inventor.exe: Fatal program exit requested."

As Mike states below this is unrelated to the 2018.0.1 update; it's an issue that is impacting many Autodesk 2018 products today. It's currently under investigation with the highest priority.

For me, The problem persists through several reboots. With and without the update.
