I'm using 2017 and i'm guessing the new bulleted/number text just doesn't do this.

I'm trying to do:

----a.

----b.

----a

etc...where a/b etc are indented under the previous number.

It would also be acceptable if you could start your number listed at your own desired number - like 7 for whatever reason.

There seems to be no options for the numbering/bullet system. Seems surprising that you'd create numbering of different levels without allowing a true outline format.

Thanks for reporting this issue. The current Numbering and Bullet rule in Text is quite simple, it doesn't support what you want to see now.

Could you please add this request to ideastation? If there are more Kudos, it will be considered in the future plan.

Please cast a vote for it. Your request to customize the scheme would seem to benefit a lot of people. You may wish to append a comment regarding that capability to the Idea as it is not cited within the root request.
