Hi David,

There might be a few ways to do it. You could use an iLogic rule to automate the process. Or, you can simply run an Update Design task using Task Scheduler on the drawing files regularly. Just a caution. Automation saves a lot of efforts for sure. But, sometimes the change in the model can lead to dramatic change in drawing. For example, certain annotation can be sick because the anchor geometry is gone. Or, the dimensions can move. It is better to look at the drawing and rationalize the change before saving. This is why the automated workflow is not enabled by default.

Many thanks!

Hello,

Is there a way in Inventor for the Inventer DWG file to be automatically saved when the IPT file is updated and saved? Like a verify and save all associated files option?

I am wanting something to ensure this is done beyond just remembering to open the associated file and saving the updated information.

Thanks!
