Thank you for the answer. I changed the file to iPart table driven. All other combinations seem to work now, except the 45/90 deg (or 90/45) ends. These are the parts TL8 and TL9. I can't figure out why. Does it have something to do with relationships? Why are the corner seams at the opposite ends of part even related?

I'm experiencing strange behaviour using feature properties for suppressing left/right flanges in a sheet metal iPart file. I'm trying to make left/right ends of the part either no flange value 0 or flanges with 45 deg or 90 deg. The names in the table are "vasen_pääty" for left end and "oikea_pääty" for right end. If I change the right end to 45 (while left is 90) the 45 deg flange ("oikea_45") changes to always suppressed (see FP_suppress always). If I correct the suppression equation it will enable 45 deg left side flange too. Somehow the left and right side are connected...?

What am I doing wrong? Or it there a better a way to make this?

Hi! An iPart member should always be driven by the iPart table. If you have selective conditions or any change in the parameter, not intended to be captured on the table, you will need to change the Edit Scope to Factory (Manage -> Author -> Edit Factory Scope. This means any change to the model will apply to all members of the iPart. Such change will not be captured on the table.

Many thanks!

Hi! I believe TL8 and TL9 fail because VASE_45 and OIKEA_45 (45 deg Flange) are too long. They intersect the top flanges, leading to Corner Seam failures.

Many thanks!

I have investigated this again. The problem is not the 45 deg flange itself, but it is the flange at the other end of the part. I changed the order of the flanges. All the 45 deg flanges are now before 90 flanges and it works. But what is the explanation, a bug?

Hi! Many thanks for sharing the findings! It does look like a bug to me. The behavior should be consistent regardless of creation order. In this case, somehow if the 45-deg flange was created later, the vertical edge will be lost when TL8/9 is activated. It may have something to do with the 90-deg flange corner seams. But I cannot say it for sure.

I will work with the project team to understand it better. However, this is a geometry specific issue. It may not be fixed quickly unfortunately.

Thanks again!
