Getting Design Accelerator on the Ribbon

I have just loaded AI2018. Help tells me:

To display the Design Accelerator toolbar:

Select the Tools tab Options panel Customize.
Switch to the Toolbars tab.
In the list, select Design Accelerator, and select Show.
Place the toolbar in any location on the screen.

I go Tools Tab --> Application Options (there being no other options available) --> ???

There things stop, there being no customize option.

Now I don't see anything about a Toolbars Tab.

When did I take the wrong turn?

That's a pretty confusing section in the help, i can't find a "toolbars" tab either.

I think it might just be a leftover from older versions and it never got updated in the help.

On my installations of IV2016 and 2018 the "design" tab is already active and i can't see any way to deactivate it either.

Wow!

You have a lot more going for you as far as options go. This is the ribbon I am presented with in 2018.

Where do I start to expand that?

Do you see the button (circled with red in the attached image) on your screen? Click on it a few times and see what happens to the UI.

After four clicks we are back to where we started.

The Design Assistant is context sensitive, you need to be in a IAM for the tool bar to be displayed.

Create a new file (or open an old one) and go through the selection of UI appearance as previously suggested.
