inventor rectangular pattern issue

Hi, I'm working on floor tiles and I have to add a non-slip pattern on it

problem the tiles are not rectangular it means the pattern have to stop at some point (attached files)
And I would like inventor to stop creating the pattern out of the piece.

There is a feature called "crucial" that might be the answer to my problem, but no matter what I'm doing it seems I can't make it work

i hope someone have a fix

You have 2 ways:

Find the items in your browser and disable the instances.
Create a point pattern in the sketch, then change the omitted points to normal (non-construction). Finally, use a sketch-driven pattern.

Hi,
also you can try to use full rectangular base and full pattern,
then create the working plane with nesessary slope and use Split

as I had not so many instances wrong, I disabled the problematic ones inside the rectangular pattern fonction
