How to update zone field in revision table in Inventor drawing?

Hi there,

Is there some way to update the data into column "Zone" in revision table as its related flags move around the drawing?

For example, if a revision table has 3 lines, revisions A, B and C, and in this last one, and at first moment I just put 3 flags in zones... let's say D1, E1, F4. After that, I moved the views and the flag now are located in C7 (before was D1), D4 (before was E1) and H8 (before was F4). How to update this data in revision table automatically?

Also, I believe this is the same concept if the former revision flags change its position the related zone fields would update, is it correct?

As far as I'm aware there is no way to currently achieve this in Inventor.

Hi! It might be doable via iLogic rules or API. But, the amount of work to make it happen may be much greater than just changing it manually.

I suspect that its a virtually impossible idea to actually implement and personally I wouldn't waste your time putting in the idea..

I disagree with mcgyvr. There’s nothing wrong with inspiring innovation with ideas, no matter how impossible they seem. Adding ideas to the wish list is free and takes very little time and effort. Go for it and thank you for your contribution.

I would like to see the zones autopopulate. I am a semi-new user to Inventor and have just created titleblock/borders, etc. for my company division. I was disappointed to see that the zones dont autopopulate when dropping the revision tags. Not that anyone wants to hear this but Solidworks autopopulates the zones when dropping the revision tags. I am sure Autodesk can accomplish this also.
