Hi, I am a teacher in Autodesk Inventor, and used last year Inventor Professional 2017, for students.

For the next school year i want to install Inventor Professional 2018, but with my autodeskaccount it shows only the 2017 version.

Is it possible to return my Student licence to Autodesk and obtain a new one for Inventor 2018?

There's no need to return any free educational license. Just go back and request the 2018 version.

I am also a teacher of Autodesk Inventor software.

Each year we simply go back to the Autodesk Educational Community website

and select the next version - so every year we have the latest release.

Click on the down arrow next to version - this will get you new serial number for 2018.

Once you go through this process you will see your 2018 serial number on screen, you will get an email with your 2018 serial number and if you go to http://manage.autodesk.com you will also see your 2018 serial number at that site. But first you must generate the serial number from the Autodesk Education website.

But I recommend using this direct link to get these three install files

rather than downloading from the education website.

You still use your Student Serial Number when activating the new 3-yr license.

We have been using this procedure for many many years.

If you need institutional (lab install) license rather than personal faculty/student license - the install files are the same, but the getting the (network) license and activation is slightly different.
