Tube and Pipe/Content Center goofing up

Was making a piping layout for a job and have hit a curious problem. I copied several 'standard' fittings to my custom library, then tweaked their tables/geometry to match the fittings we actually have available, but 1 part is giving me a hell of a time. Basically, I've got a 'custom' elbow that keeps changing the authoring information and messing up one of the connections, which prevents the tube and pipe module from functioning correctly. I can open the part from the CC, pull up the authoring menu, and update the CC family template, but every time I go to pull it out of the CC again, one of the connections will be changed. Not always the same side of the connection, but it always reverses the direction of the connection and changes the end treatment from "Butt Welded" to "Jointed".

Have I found the latest and greatest 'feature', or might I be doing something wrong on my end?

Sometimes replacing the family template after you updated its authoring may not be updating.. Sometimes I've had it update and others times it appears to be updated and other times not.

However when working with content center.. If the CC part is already on your hard drive, it doesn't automatically get a new copy or the updated copy in content center.

So let me ask you this..

In Tools/Application Options/Content Center.. Do you have refresh standard component on placement checked?

I did not have it checked, checking it and fooling around a bit didn't seem to produce any different results. I have been updating the parts with the CC Refresh command, and I know that much works because geometry/parameter changes were being reflected. As you said though, it does appear that the authoring data isn't updating quite right unlike everything else. Any ideas on moving forward with this?

apologize for the late reply but I didn't have time recently and this only showed up when searching for recent Tube and Pipe questions.

While this will not change a think on your problem I will just mention that replace family template on Tube and Pipe fittings will not update authoring info.

You need to publish the ipart anew I am afraid.
