Hello @Anonymous I see that you are visiting as a new member to the Inventor Forum.
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I opened your file and it exports to .RFA and .IFC just fine through the Professional 2018 Version.

According to the Translator Support list you should be able to Export with Inventor LT.

The most likely issue is that something didn't load correctly and there is a problem with your Windows User Account.

The solution might be to use the Inventor Reset Utility.

Hi,

I am just getting started with Inventor. After modelling a part, I wanted to export it as an IFC, but the export makes the software collapse and close. It also happens if I try to export to RFA file.

I am using a trial version of Inventor LT 2018. Maybe this feature is limiter in the trial... ?

If not, please let me what I did wrong ?

Cheers

Rémi

Autodesk Revit Interoperability for Inventor 2018 is essential for exporting RFA/IFC. It is a component of Inventor Professional installer, after you install Inventor Professional, it is listed in the Control Panel->Programs and Features. However, it is not contained in the LT installer, but if you can install it through Inventor Professional, the exporting RFA/IFC function also works in LT.

The collapse and close problem has been fixed in the later update version. It's now showing an error message.
