Hello Comunity

I am new to CAD software but I need to use it to one of my projects. I am working with .stl files that I created in a numerical computation program.

I used the add in of Inventor "mesh enabler" to create a body/composite from the previous created mesh.

After this I want to merge into a single body the mesh and the button (see attachments), for this I tried to use Shrink Wrap/simplified part but this options delete the button and maintain the mesh. Can you tell me why this occurs and how can i solve this?

In the attachments are the mesh and the button and i want to create a single body from this two parts.

Can you help me?

My best Regards

Hi Goncalo,

Mesh geometries are not supported for Shrink-wrap, it's better to convert Mesh to BREP geometries. You can try mesh tools and try to make a real solid before Shrink-wrap.

Here is a link for you to have a overview about Mesh handling.

http://blogs.autodesk.com/inventor/2016/05/23/working-with-mesh-data-in-autodesk-inventor-2017/

Hope it helps!

But the mesh enabler transform the mesh into a solid, do you think that the problem can be from the file botao, after Shrink wrap only the botao part disappears
