Cannot Create a New Part in Inventor 2017 Trial

I still have 8 days left in my Inventor 2017 Professional trial (still working on setting up the educational license) that I am using for my students. For some reason, some of their computers will not let them create a new file. The option is grayed out in the ribbon. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to fix this problem or why it is only happening to a few of them.

I'll screenshot it when I get a chance, but basically the New button at the top left is gray and will not allow me to even click it.

Hi John,

Is it possible there are user profile issues? Please ask them to right-click on Inventor shortcut -> Run as Administrator. Does it work now? Also, is the active project properly set up with proper template folder? Please take a snapshot of Project dialog with all options expanded.
