PVC piping material properties

Not sure if I am missing something or if it's wrong. Inventor 2024 material properties for PVC piping has the specific heat at 0.024 btu/(lb*°F). My research shows it closer to 0.25 btu/(lb*°F). Is it me or Inventor?

Hello, and welcome to the forum. What specific Family of PVC piping are you examining? I am assuming this is from the Content Center?

D'oh!! Thank you for pointing me in the right place! As a former Tube & Pipe guy, I always go right to the Content Center! Thanks for pointing this out, on your own end it should be a pretty easy fix by just editing the value. Meanwhile...

@johnsonshiue Is this something that needs to be addressed?

Hi! Indeed, the specific heat value for PVC-Piping does seem wrong to me. It applies to Autodesk Material Library and any product leveraging the library. I will need to follow up with the project team and see what we can do to correct it.
