These are the files that Inventor creates and maintains. Did you perhaps delete them? See the structure (recommendation #4) here: https://synergiscadblog.com/2016/01/14/inventor-frame-generator-skeleton-and-model-structure/

Frame generator - Missing data in skeleton

Hello!

I just made a frame using Inventor's frame generator. Everything went fine as usual, but all of a sudden I noticed that the frame generator assembly (and the reference skeleton) show the text "Missing data!". Check the attached pic "missing data.jpeg"

Now with this "missing data!" issue, when I change the skeleton part (which i made), the reference skeleton doesn't get updated and obviously neither does the frame.

Has anyone experienced this? And if so, is there solution?

Thanks in advance,

Lars

Thanks for the reply, Mark.

Unfortunately, I did not delete them. I had full control of all the files that are created by the frame generator.

What I did do, however, is checked in the whole frame, including all reference files. After checking them in I renamed them.

This is something that I have done multiple times, but this time I received this "error".

Without knowing exactly what happened, The error must be due to the renaming. I couldn't find the reason, so i just started a new frame.

Still, thanks for the help.

L

@Anonymous

I would strongly advise against renaming files in Vault that are related to either Frame Generator or Tube & Pipe... probably Cable & Harness also. Some of the structural relationships of these files are name dependent, and the relationships may be damaged by simply renaming or moving the files. Without seeing exactly what you renamed or how, I can only speculate, but I would bet that this is what happened.
