Inventor Professional 2018, .iam "Expand All Children", "Collapse All Children"

We just installed Autodesk Inventor Professional 2018. I have noticed that the, "Expand All Children", "Collapse All Children" don't work in an assembly, as they did for 2016. I did notice that when I right click on an item in the browser the option is there for one to select, but I can't type in "n" or "s" to process the command. More times than not the "n" or "s" will not work. The "n" in Expand is not always underlined nor is the "s" in Collapse always underlined.

Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have a solution?

I have all updated loaded.

I just got a notice of 2018.2.3 and just now am restarting Inventor to see if I still have issues.

Yesterday, I downloaded, of 2018.2.3. I shut down my computer last night. When I opened a .iam file and tried using the "Expand All Children", "Collapse All Children" the "n" & "s" short cuts did not work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I see what you're saying now ...

When I click "n" it wants to create a new ....

When I click "s" it starts a new Sketch

Thanks for the reporting. It's a regression related QT5 from Inventor 2018. Our team is working on the fix still. When the issue happens, there are two problems we can reproduce:

Context menu command missing the underline “_” for the shortcut character, shortcut does not work in this case
When Inventor window is not maximized, mouse can't move to the lower commands beside Inventor window

Currently the workaround is Check [Use Classic Context Menu] from Tools tab > Options panel> Customize dialog > Marking Menu tab. Please have a try.

Have you tried going to the tool tab and select customize? When you click on the assigned keyboard shortcuts, you'll see that "N" keyboard shortcut is assigned within the assembly to "create component".

I'm new to Inventor, but here are somethings I noticed:

In Inventor 2019, "Collapse all Children" and "Expand all Children" are missing from the Customize menu, so Keyboard shortkeys can't be set. They are available on the drop down menu shown when right-clicking on an assembly item in the model tree, and will expand/collapse starting at the component selected (i.e. won't expand top level assembly if you right-click on a subassembly component).

The first "n" in "Expand all Children" and the "s" in "Collapse all Children" are still underlined in INV 2019, but I am unable to get ALT+s or some command variation to work.

Also, I did notice that if you press "s" (starts a new sketch, or other function depending if you're in a simulation or other frame) and then right-click on any item in the model tree, you have the option to "Expand All Folders", "Expand All", or "Collapse All". Since these do not need a reference (i.e. what subassembly should it expand/collapse), as it applies to everything in the model tree, I would think these functions would be easiest to include in the Tools/Customize/Keyboard shortkey menu.
