How to add circular flange in sheet metal

Hello everyone,

Please guide me how we can add circular flange on the sheet metal part as shown below

One solution which I know is draw the profile and revolve it in 3D model but I do not think it is a correct way to add the flange (add two parts)

also we can not add corners and other stuff with one command like we can do in flange or contour flange command. With flange command we can not select circular edges but can select straight edges.

How abut Loft flange? I believe Loft Flange can help you in this case.

Thank you for u r time and answer but with loft flange can we add flange on chord segment. for more information please see below picture

I want to add flange on yellow marked edge. If it is possible with loft flange can you guide please

Hi Thomas,

I can not send you the part file..sorry but for more details please see below 2 pictures

I think with picture you will understand what are my requirements. Its a simple plain disc with some vent hole as marked in yellow where I want to add flange. With flange command I can not select edge as I mentioned in earlier post

Make a punch tool and add a punch on it, that's what you want.

Will create an example for you then.

We have the same issue I do it 2 different ways

1. offset the distance needed and extrude.

2. I draw a profile with the fillet and sweep it.

they can do it very easily as a 3D model create

It can not be handled as sheet metal

it also does not work as ifeature
