Opening step file

Hello!

Im quite new to inventor, im learning it right now.

I have a .stp file that i want to open. When i open it, a windiw pops up with settings.

If i only select the solids option, nothing opens just an empty new ipt.

If i select the surfaces option too, it opens like the image shows below. Only surfaces.

My question is, how can i open it as a body and make changes/transformations on it?

If I try to reapir it, it finds errors, but i cant heal them.

I added the stp file as an attachment.

Thank you for every information and help, i have no idea what to do!

The author of the file created it as a surface model, so... you have a surface model.
This is not an error, but a consequence of the decision of the file author.

Once opened, you can edit it with surface modeling tools.

Edit: I just noticed 2 anomalies that I did not fix in the Attached example...

If you return to the discussion, I can create video of simple process to Repair the geometry.

Before I start recording the video - what version of Inventor are you using? 2023? 2024? 2025?
